Clinical Operations Manager

Position Summary:
The Clinical Operations Manager oversees the daily clinical workflow and operational efficiency of LungLink’s pulmonary navigation program. This role ensures smooth coordination between Clinical Navigators, partnering practices, and leadership. The Manager drives quality improvement, ensures adherence to clinical protocols (including GOLD), supports performance monitoring, and maintains a patient-centered, high-service environment consistent with LungLink’s mission. 
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Oversight 

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Clinical Navigators and clinical support staff. 
  • Provide real-time guidance on complex cases, escalations, and workflow barriers. 
  • Lead onboarding, ongoing training, and competency assessments. 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellent patient care. 

Operational Management 

  • Oversee the day-to-day functioning of LungLink services across partnered clinics. 
  • Monitor Navigator caseloads, turnaround times, and adherence to workflows (e.g., documentation, inhaler suggestions, pre-authorization processes). 
  • Ensure consistency in use of internal custom EMR, LungLink App, and related clinical platforms. 
  • Coordinate coverage plans, scheduling, and productivity benchmarks. 

Clinical Quality & Protocol Compliance 

  • Ensure execution of LungLink care protocols across chronic disease areas (COPD, asthma, pulmonary rehab, smoking cessation, etc.). 
  • Regularly audit documentation quality, patient identifiers, and adherence to clinical standards. 
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and lead to quality improvement projects. 
  • Support implementation of guideline-aligned care pathways (GOLD, ATS, etc.). 

Provider & Partner Practice Collaboration 

  • Serve as the operational liaison between LungLink and partnered providers/clinics. 
  • Support providers with referral workflows, documentation needs, and technology integration. 
  • Troubleshoot clinical workflow issues and maintain strong partner relationships. 

Data, Reporting & Performance Monitoring 

  • Track key metrics such as patient volume, PIFR assessments, medication optimization rates, pre-authorization turnaround, and patient engagement. 
  • Compile monthly performance reports for leadership and partner practices. 
  • Ensure operational processes support compliance, scalability, and growth. 

Program Development 

  • Assist with deployment of new service lines.
  • Contribute to protocol updates and help refine LungLink’s clinical navigation model. 
  • Support technology enhancements and testing of new features in the LungLink app and workflows. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, respiratory therapy, or related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • Must have a current license in at least one state.
  • 3+ years of clinical operations or clinical leadership experience, ideally in pulmonary rehabilitation, hospital or clinic setting. 
  • Strong understanding of inhaler therapies, GOLD guidelines, care navigation, and clinical workflows. 
  • Experience working with EMRs (Athena, eCW, Epic) and digital health platforms. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in remote patient monitoring, value-based care, or chronic disease management. 
  • Background working with payer authorization processes or medication optimization.
